On the 3rd April firm Partner, Dr Manfred Galdes, participated in a conference organised by Finance Malta titled, “BlockFinance: Innovative Technology Arrangements & AML Challenges”.
The conference focused on the fast moving developments in the DLT and Crypto space in terms of projects, applications, authorisations of VFA agents and training and also the practical or technological implementation of AML compliance obligations.
Dr Galdes shared his views with the audience during the course of a panel discussion on “The positioning of institutions in Malta and challenges for the future”, focusing specifically on the need to upscale human and technological resources if the fight against money laundering and terrorism financing is going to be a meaningful and effective one.
